Night Event 2011.
Tentative Date: July 2011
IMPACT would like to host yet another night game. We used to host them on a regular basis back in the day. After the last couple of successful IMPACT night games, its something we are trying to do annually now.
But this year I want to do things a little differently, and thats where you guys come in. I would like this to be a collaboration with one another. So what would you like to see in a night game? How would you like things to be ran? Any input you have is much appreciated.
What we need thus far: Field Back Story Objectives Props
Lets make this one Hell of an event and give everyone a good time.

I will gladly get involved. As soon as we are finished with some stuff we have that we're planning right now, I'll start thinking some "sh!t" up. Actually I did have this one written down.. Now for a field op at night, you're sorta limited to the amount of realism when thinking up a backstory and plot to the game. A building/cqb op is a different story, however on a field you have to have a reason why it's happening at night because most people think military organizations carry out ops in broad daylight all the time. Covert ops, behind enemy lines, that is the kind of stuff we think of that would fit a night field op. So go with it. However, when ops like that occur the OpFor have no idea when or where they will be hit, if at all. So, how do you get surprise out of airsoft in a situation like this? Let's say your game is even at 20vs20. 20 are on the covert ops team, and completely prepared while converging on their targets of interest. However the opfor may be sleeping, eating, talking, functioning in their daily lives at this time of night while a select few are on guard duty.. So, chances are 1/4-1/3 of the OpFor will not be totally prepared to fight. 5 opfor on guard duty, 15 unprepared in various ways until the fighting starts. 10 with only 1 mag of ammo, and their kit is at the camp or someplace nearby. 5 of those with only their bdu's on to simulate not being prepared at all. None of the unprepared opfor can gear up until their team takes contact. This would put them in the situation of realism, a type of realism they might face in this situation considering they would be living at the field, eating there, and everything else. So in the midst of battle, they hop up, run around getting their gear on, then get into the fight. That's just the initial part I had in my notes, and yes it is milsim, but that's how my mind works. A zombie game working in the same way could be a hell of a lot of fun.

Anyone else have any ideas for this event? Or things they would like to see done at a night game?
Just for planning purposes lets say this is being held at The Circus.
