I have this 1400 MaH Intellect Battery that came with my M4. My M4 has a pretty decent ROF when you first hook it up after charging but after 15 minutes it slows down alot and sounds almost dead. The gun is supposed to come with 7.v since its a WELL but the battery that came with this one is an 8.4v which I dont think its a problem since it has a High Torque eg 1000 motor in it. Well I was wandering whats the deal with the battery only lasting 15 minutes.

What kind of charger are you using to charge it?

I guess that could be the problem I'm using a trickle charger but only charged it once.

I would say its the charger, I have had problems with mine as well since its so old. I was never a big fan of trickle chargers, get a smart charger. One that charges your battery then stops itself when its done. Dont forget to discharge your batteries when your done with them as well, they will develop memory and will not fully charge. Crimson can most likely tell you more about this, being that his is an RC master and all.

I agree a smart charger of some type is a must. If you check around the RC stores you can find them pretty cheap. Orian makes one that is around 30.00 and works great. You will have to make a adapter from a tamiya to a mini for it. But if you need I can help you with that. Also Check the type of batterys you have If they are Nicad. Then as joker said make sure to fully discharge them. If it is a newer batter most are NIMH. These battery have no memory and dont need to be discharged like the older ones do. But the do lose a little charge on there own when sitting due to internal resistance. So always make sure you top them off a day or two before you plan to use them.
