Hi guys:
Cstahl has propposed me a first storyline for a night game; here it goes:
"Intel: A toxic shipment of U235 is on route to disposal site, when the truck over turns in the Appalachian mountains. The US government sends in a toxic waste clean up team, but once the team arrives they are never heard from again. So the US government sends in a group of Navy Seals to locate the recovery team, and help with the clean up.
At this point the story is heard around the world. So Irans government sends in some agents to recover a little bit of the U235 for testing."
So, forces involved would be:
-US recovery team: green based camo. -Irani agents: tan based camo. -Organizers: jeans, civilian clothes, black...
Possible objetives:
*US -Retrive the radioactive cargo (find it) -Extract the cargo. -Find evidences of where the original recovery team is and extract surviviors or evidence of their fate. -Be clean and abide any civilizan coverage of the event (no news involved) by shuting down TV comunications. Don´t harm the civilians though! -Extract from battlefield. Nobody is left behind! -Find and capture a spy sending intel to opposing force. -Capture any enemy agents as proof of their involvement.
*Irani agents: -Retrive the cargo. -Contact local support intel agent and extract him. -Create overkill (blow up things) and leave clues to incriminate the US goverment. -Don´t let your agents be captured!
*Civilian side: -Don´t get in the line of fire! -Something wicked this way comes...
So that would be pretty much the basis for the whole game. Depending on attendance, we could celebrate the event in the Circus or the Farm. Any suggestion for day?

I say we go for the night before halloween something like 6pm to 1am. Only know that seems viable in Oct with all the other games going on. Anytime past that its gonna be pretty cold for a night game

Yeah the night before Halloween is about all we have to work with.
Do we have the rules for this game done? Like the Max FPS, glowstick requirements, and so forth?

I would say go with standard IAA rules. But make 400 the fps limit. Since alot of people may not have a gun under 350 to use. Maybe do semi auto only at night. Or just tell people to man up if they want to play. We could require some form a face protection just to be safe for the night game. Even it its just a rag around your face it takes a lot away from a hit. And helps cover the chance of losing a tooth. I would love to see this game happen. Mainly just because I want to shoot people

Rules for this game:
-You have to have a source of ilumination at all times with you (a flashlight, glowstick...). That source can also work as dead rag if the light is red(specially if you put a red filter on it). As a safety measure, you should also have a working radio with you at all times. If you get injuried, light and radio are the best ways to track you!
-Team identification will be made by means of eye confirmation; just like any other IMPACT game. If you want to shoot without light, great, but be sure you´re shooting the people from the other side.
-Face protection is very recommended just as Crimson stated. A simple shemag (or other piece of material) wrapped arround your neck and covering your nose and mouth may be the dfference between being hurt really bad or just being hit by a BB.
-Keep it simple regarding guns: nothing over 400 will be allowed this time. MED will follow IAA guidelines. If possible, bring a 350 fps or less gun.
-Capture rules: to be captured you have to be *Alone (nobody from your team actively playing) or among companions with red rag on. *Bang killed or *Sorrounded and outnumbered but not necessarily at bang kill distance. *Dead men tell no tales but prissoners do! Be sure to turn off prissoner´s radio because they can speak through them. They cannot yell to reveal their possition unless it´s an answer yell from another sidemate. Even in that case they cannot describe their possition, just yeall a "heya" or similar back.
Last but not least, a possible list of props:
-The radioactive cargo: jugs of milk and water with a green glowstick inside. A gallon at least and full of liquid.
-Coms line: simple rope of any kind.
-Places to blow up: the actual bunkers in the Circus.
-Demolition charges for them: a simple stick and a flag can be enough. You get there, plant the stick for 10 minutes and once passed, everyone gets at 5 feet and the place is considered blown. The stick is tuned on the other side (Raphiki´s idea of red and blue; red for "blown up" and blue for the "process of blowing up" can be fine) to represent that. Bunkers can still be used to get cover once blown.
-Extraction: there will be many missions in which players will be supposed to extract cargo or people. The way to do so is getting to the starting point, contacting the organizers to confirm extraction and wait for 10 minutes till the arrival of an "extraction vehicle" (an event organizer). Once time is passed, the extraction is succesfull and if it involves people, they can respawn and go on playing with their side.
Ideas, deeper details and new extras are welcomed and encouraged!

Any of you is very welcome to post this game in the IAA general boards and see what happens. We´d need at least 25 people to play... The initial plan is 31´s afternoon.
By the way, RPT is a colaborator for this game.

Sadly I wont be able to make it on the 31st. Have to put the kids first and they have planned for months for halloween night. I still think we would be better off the friday before. Most people have plans for halloween I would guess.

I would have to agree with Crimson. Due to my possible plans for that night I am tentative, but its not looking good.
Since it starts later then usual that should give people time to get down here after school and work on Friday....?

We could do the 30th from 6-12. Ending it on all hollows eve would be cool. After all if you look at history its midnight on the night of the 30th that is the true pagan holiday.

Samhain is the night before All Hallows and that is Nov. 1st so you Americans do ir right and celebrate the old Celt "new year". I don´t mind playing in Friday but I don´t know about the rest of players. If they prefeer it that way, go for it.
