Well, I'm a big fan of 'end of the world' zombie type movies, and was thinking of a scenario I had always thought would be fun to visit in paintball, but not...really safe. This is why I'm submitting it to ya'll for airsoft.
What about a zombie apocalypse type scenario: Heres the setting.
Its 2005, and for some unknown reason, the dead are returning to life. Not those burried long ago, however, but those whom are recently dead. They have very limited motor function, and no really speakable intelligence. However, they retain two basic ideal functions of life: to eat, and to survive. Those whom are left alive must survive against self apointed marauding warlords, the military which is trying to mop up any survivors for some...cover up. Can you survive long enough to discover the truth, and find a way to saftey?
Game could consist of three to four teams; Survivors, warlord gang, military, and zombies. Survivors would start the game with only, say, side arms, such as pistols or shotguns, but would have the ability to maybe upgrade their equipment at some point? Military could carry anything they wanted, same with marauders. Zombies however, I was thinking could be players that were 'tagged' out by these zombies, zombie players would have some kind of added protection so that umpteen thousand BBs pelting them wouldnt hurt so bad. Zombies could be 'killed' by shooting them in the head, where in they lay down for several minutes, and then can get up again to sew carnage. Zombies would only be able to move at the rate of a slow shuffle, so one wouldnt be a problem, a group may, and deffinately a problem in close quarters. Zombies would only be out by being headshot (thus, the extra extra protection). Maybe a halloween mask or somthing with the goggles? Any time a player kills a player, the player would go about normal re-insertion procedure, but when a zombie kills a player, the players stay zombies till the games over. So, basically, what happens is theres more and more zombies as the game goes, and it gets doubly interesting .
My ideal place to play this would be in a dark, urban/woodsy setting, where theres all kinds of terrain to fight through. Along with zombies being killed, maybe have zombie reinsertion points instead of just laying down, like a designated city center or somthing. Likewise, make all kinds of objectives in city centers, like extra ammo, medi-kits, information, missions, etc, etc. Like maybe you have to hole up in a house for X ammount of time before you can move on. I think a dark moonlit night would be perfect. Allow players to bring their own flash lights if they choose.
Well, I'd like to here what you guys think, and would really be interested in trying this. I dont think it would work with paintball, but I think it may work with airsoft. See what ya think!
